ROFL!!!!!!!!!!

By Andrea Hopkins

CINCINNATI, Oct 16 (Reuters) - After Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama made him into the most famous plumber in America, it turns out Joe Wurzelbacher isn't a licensed plumber after all. Oh, and his real name is Sam.

The morning after he emerged as the unexpected star of Wednesday evening's U.S. presidential debate, Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher of Holland, Ohio, found himself at the center of a media frenzy, with reporters camped out on his front lawn and his phone ringing off the hook.

But it wasn't long before the Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters and Service Mechanics revealed that Wurzelbacher was not a licensed member of their trade.

"That means that he has not completed the training program necessary for him to sit for a license test," said Tony Herrera, market recovery specialist for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 50 in Toledo, Ohio.

"It's a shame that this guy has ended up in this situation because it seems like he's misrepresented himself -- and for that matter the plumbing and pipefitting industry."

Without a license, Wurzelbacher cannot practice in the city of Toledo but can work for someone with a master's license or in outlying areas that do not require a license, Herrera said.

Wurzelbacher, 34, listed in the phone directory as Samuel, did not answer his phone and his voicemail box appeared to be full. Reporters at his home said he had driven away. Continued...

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!

Does this matter? Is it even a story?

How interesting though, the union thugs operating as a part of the Obama campaign are seeking to destroy the guy publicly. Of course, the union thugs are eager for an Obama presidency because it means they'll finally be able to do away with the secret ballots.

I wish Reuters and the AP would just wear Obama '08 t-shirts and end this charade.

Oh come on! How the hell can you turn this against Obama? Geeze you guys are PATHETIC!

No it doesnt matter! Geeze. Get a grip!

Did you even read that full article?
It was a campaign ad.

And it's designed not to be funny, but to shift the focus of the debate. The goal is clear, let's not discuss Obama's marxist desires to have government redistribute wealth, but now let's focus on whether this guy has a license or not.... and in doing so, give the impression that the guy somehow is less credible because he hasn't gotten this license yet.

For the record, I KNOW tradesmen who OWN small businesses that earn over $250,000 a year and DON'T have their license. Someone inside the company in management has one, but they don't.

And the comments by the "union guys" reeks of a dishonest campaign ad.

That license is not required by law, and even if it was, it wouldn't matter at all on this issue. You are making a mountain out of a molehill here that has absolutely no relevance. a red herring, nothing more.

Try again...

Please. You guys really need to get a grip. I posted it because I thought it was funny Reuters would even give the story the time of day. You have ZERO evidence to believe Obama had anything to do with this or that there was any political motivation. Its a union, discrediting a non union guy as not being licensed. Thats what unions do.

And... it is illegal in Toledo to run your own plumbing business withou a license.

Without a license, Wurzelbacher cannot practice in the city of Toledo but can work for someone with a master's license or in outlying areas that do not require a license, Herrera said.

Ah..no. Might wanna check the facts on your sources...

He only needs a license for commercial work, not residential.

Tell it to reuters. They are my source.

BTW, you cited code for the state, not TOLEDO, as specified. City codes are often different then state codes. You might want to check YOUR facts.

I believe the most important thing to remember is that next week people will be saying Joe/Sam Electrician who? :)

Perhaps you don't value property rights, but I do.
He's humanized this issue of redistribution of wealth. That high taxes don't just hit "really rich guys" in suits, but it also affects regular guys who get their finger nails dirty too.

Interesting that the press has the time to attempt discredit this guy, yet they've yet to devote any time into explain Barrack's mystery ascension to Democrat stardom. Or his lifelong association with ACORN, and the DNC's affiliation with that organization with full knowledge of the vote fraud they've been perpetuating for decades now.

I guess the army of reporters just returned back from Alaska empty handed and are now looking for a new and creative way to support the Obama campaign.

property rights - what are you talking about Calabrio? Eminent Domain?

property rights - what are you talking about Calabrio? Eminent Domain?

I wasn't being that specific, but now that you mention it....
That is an issue of importance, and one that was decided straight down the line, ideologically. The left leaning judges felt that it was o.k. for the government to take your home in order to give it to someone else. An absolutely outrageous and shocking decision.

But, in a more macro sense, Obama and other like minded Democrats feel that they have a right to take assets from me at gun point and give them to who ever they feel "deserves" it more, because of their so-called "misfortune."

Obama is a Marxist. And he's been wonderfully marketed by the Democrat party and the far-left in this country. 2008 has been the year that they took all the lessons of politics and sociology and pulled off an extremely successful ruse on the American people. Frankly, his campaign demonstrates the lessons I read in every left-wing propaganda book I was forced to read in college about how to trick the electorate into voting for Democrats. Dishonest stuff written by guys like George Lakoff. They marketed this radical leftwing guy, completely out of step with the majority of the country, as some kind of bridge building centrist candidate. With their understanding of marketing and sociology, with the unstated, but unfalling, support from the mainstream media, and a smooth, articulate, attractive, ethnic candidate. The media will refrain from any kind of substantiative look into his background. The race-card will be used to avoid any direct questions.

Hillary wasn't the candidate because, while she's pretty far to the left as well, she's independent. Obama is dependent upon the people who caused his rocket to super stardom. That's why it's so unsettling that the media is reluctant to report on WHO has carried him this far. The information is out there, we've discussed it here, but that doesn't reach the masses. And frankly, it's too messy to present to the public in a sound byte.

If you want to be a Marxist, you do have that right. But make it clear. If you want to be aligned with the most radical elements of America's counter-culture, you have that right as well.... but don't lie to the public and deny your association.

To believe Obama and the press, we are to now believe that wo of the most important people in Obama's career, Write and Ayers, were nothing more than "casual acquaintances." It's a bold faced lie... and the press is a willing accomplice in this, and it outrages me.

Lamest. Thread. Ever.

Joe the Plumber has already stated that he wants to buy a plumbing business. He is in no way in violation of any laws.

Way to go along with the usual character assassination, Joey. Or should I call you Sheeple?

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!

So the guy is a plumber practicing under his boss's Master License and there is some kind of story here? And you find it funny that Obama's people are trying to tear him down? OK

I spent the day in Long Grove today. A plumber came over to fix some toilets (guy has 9 in the house) and we found out after chatting with the kid that he was 25 and making $34/hr plus overtime. He was pullling down $90K. Should we all hate him or congratulate him?

Joey, Obama is a socialist and will pull this Country down into the ditch.
We are a capitalist society. You obtain the American dream by working hard, working smart and doing it with morality and integrity.

The people that support Obama are the enemy within.

Sorry, that's the way I see. I won't sit back and watch this country become another Europe just because we have socialists running the Democrat Party.

Nah, Your boy GW already did that.
If you think Obama is going to raise this country out of the current situation, you're quite naive. Obama in charge is like putting the inmates in charge of the asylum.

Bush spent his entire administration fighting terrorism. Obama, on the other hand, befriended it.

Nah, Your boy GW already did that.
No, he didn't.

The problem is, he didn't do enough to prevent it. He wasn't aggressive enough.

And giving the Democrats a super majority, control of all three branches of government, is only going to make things worse.

The conservative agenda items that Bush succeeded in seeing implemented during his tenure have helped this country. The failures have come in the name of bipartisanship or compassion.

It's easy and political opportunistic to blame Bush for the problems today, but the fact is that the banking problems today are the direct result of Democrats current in positions of power, avoiding scrutiny by the press.

It's a lie of the left that deregulation has destroyed any of these industries. The opposite is the truth. Within the last couple years, I can think of two industries that have nearly collapsed. In both the airlines and the banks, Democrats have blamed deregulation as the culprit, conveniently ignoring that fact that they were both industries highly regulated and subjected to government influence.

Here's an idea, we've adopted the New Deal (which extended the length and severity of the Great Depression in the U.S.), the Great Society (which has subjected an entire segment of the population to a cycle of poverty and depression) and yet somehow you think CHANGE is doing that all over again?

Here's an idea... if you want CHANGE- let's try free market capitalism.
Less government. Lower taxes. Great personal freedom and responsibility.

You're wasting your time with Joey. His computer reboots and defaults to "Bush Sucks" every morning.

Please send the 'Joe the Plumber' $5 or $10 to help him start his new business or pay off the $1200 he owes in back taxes so Obama can give it to Joey.:p

Do it today. Cash is the preferred method so he can get away with not having to report it. I'd love to see him get a "QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS" in cash. What a hoot!

It's a great idea.
But what if Barrak wins?
He'll have the IRS on him and poor Joe will be sent to the gulag.

Remember when Dewey insulted the train engineer?

McCain's campaign may resurrect on the corpse of Joe the Plumber.

He'll have the IRS on him and poor Joe will be sent to the gulag.
I'm sure by then the media will be reporting on the approximately $230,000,000 that Obama got from overseas contributions using temporary VISA and other type credit cards to debit cash amounts under $200 to Obama's campaign (which he has refused to report even though McCain has reported Any and All contributions) from Obama's terrorist friends all over the world.

P.S. Fossten, you're still 600 posts behind. Get busy.
