well the mark has been sitting idle for the last 2 months cuase it had a dead battery and wouldnt start. got a new battery under warrenty and still nothing. the problem i was hopeing was fuel related. The rear was slammed and it only had 4 gallons in her and she was on a slight incline. . acouple trips to the gas station later w/ my container and she was purring like a kitten.(i was expecting the worst, bad fuel pump) Was going to put in the rear lowered springs to but got lazy... all in all it was a great day!
 
Yeah when you don't drive them much the batteries sure don't last long. I learned to keep that reciept right in the glove box to avoid looking for it. My VIII has recived a free battery once but last time they wouldn't even pro rate it as it was past the free point, guy was a jerk and probably could see it was a free replacement. I threw a 3yrs free replacement in it so next time she should be free. My Town Car one made it about 2.5 years a little past the free replacement, got one for half price, that one died in the free relacement period so next one was free they didn't ask questions. If I only have to pay every other or third thats cool.


Glad gas got her going.
 
yea, the whole battery thing is :q:q:q:qed up in my situation. i actually had to pay like 40 bucks(100 dollor battery though) but i've gone threw atleast a battery or 2 a year since 2003 throught my last 3 cars. same warrenty until this one. i think i got my moneys worth. God dam those parasitic drains!

i'm def going to keep the recipt within arms reach.lol
 
I guess I've been lucky with batteries. The first one I bought for it was this summer cause it would die at the track with the fans running when it was cooling down. The battery was still good but not good enough for me. Owned the car for 6 years now. I had to go look at the title I forget.
 
When you don't drive the car that much is the problem. My LS is on its original, going on 8yrs old. I don't drive it so much anymore so I suspect its going to crap out anyday. My 98 F150 I bought in the end of 03 and its never been changed.

Ive put in a 1000CCA Duralast and have never had a problem no matter if I forgot the lights or flashers or radio on all day, starts right up, had the car now for 3.5 years... battery is a good enough product in my mind...
