Turn signal works brake light doesn't?

Ok when i first bought the car the brake lights where extremely insensitive (the car would start to brake but the brake lights didn't come on till i pressed it in 3/4 down) now i just put one corner bulb in the back and changed one turn signal bulb, and now the brake light doesn't come on at all the turn signal work just the brake light doesn't work, btw i tried changing it back to the old bulb, nothing checked all the fuse (just in case, i know it wasn't that) anyone else ever experience this i tried searching, nothing.

Have you checked the brake light switch?
I had a bad one when I first bought my car, had the same type issue. In fact, I was having a problem getting it out of park, it seems I had to mash the pedal down 3/4 to all the way to disengage the safety interlock. Turned out to be the switch.
