Can you justify spending $50? That's what I'll sell one for...
Sorry. I'm totally flat broke. You know, literally living from paycheck to paycheck. I can't afford $50 when all I need is the button. That's why I'd like to at least rig something up to work for a while.
How lucky do you feel about being able to pull a wheel off a column to get a good switch?![]()
Not very.
I superglued a small light duty spring that was almost the same diameter as the inside of the button into the back of the button. I stretched out the end of the spring inside the button so it fit in there tightly and this caused the spring to fit offset to one side. When I pushed the button into the stalk, the spring caught on something inside the stalk and it stays in place. Some of the chrome peeled off so I took it all off and painted the button black.
That would work if I actually had the button. But the button itself was missing when I got the car. That's why I need to see what one looks like so I can have an idea of what I need to do to fabricate something. Thanks.
