I can now get the wheels and tires mounted up and on the car.

Now, the motor is ready to go to the shop to be freshened up!

Now the whole top half of the motor will be far to big for the bottom half.

Next step is to clean up all the packed dirt, install the Team Z suspension, Cobra brakes, eliminate the electric brake booster, remove the rest of the engine harness and remount the intercooler into a new spot I found.

With out a flash under the car, the intercooler hides rather well.

So, its no mystery if this project has stalled but there is a reason. I'll hopefully be closing on this non 1 car garage place to live next week.

I also had the conversation with the shop about getting a cam made for the motor as well so, things are still going forward, just at a slow pace.

I removed the air ride and brake system wiring from the car. Next up is the security system and that complex hunk of crap.

In theory every thing will work. The dash lights, and all exterior lights work. The engine harness was had two burnt connectors on it and after messing with it, I decided to get a new 1 piece harness later. I did find that some of the engine harness shared wires with the rest of that big harness so, if the car fires on the first try or not is unknown (the new harness should make that a non issue).

we are on few other forums together, and i have been watching this since day one. Congrats on the house. Tell me what other projects have you had?

Got the rear springs in today. Once I pull the rack off the other K, clean it up and put it in to the car, the car will be ready to head into the chassis shop.

Well, its ready to go to the chassis shop. Depending on how the car sits with the rear control arms that are being made for it, I may go back to the old springs to lower it.

200,000 miles took its toll on the front control arm bolts (all of the suspension bolts really).

PSA: Do not stick your camera this close to a lit torch and oil/grease covered parts.

The hardest part so far, the bracket next to the tunnel has to have a contour made to go around the tunnel.

Recently, I had a snow tire let go on the beater and having killed two factory 18s, I decided to order to wheels for it. Downfall, no one had them in stock due to the bolt pattern. Well, the new wheels came in today so, I swapped the tires from the factory 18s over and put them on the car.

Parking brake cable is dying to get out of there.

Now, its time to take what I learn from what I did wrong and do it for real with carbon.

I started to order stuff again, last week my motor plate stuff came in from Skinny Kid, this week a bunch of stuff from Rhodes Race Cars should be here. The goal is to have all the chassis work done by fall. Leaving the drive-line and fuel system for the winter/spring.

I haven't touched this car in a while, mostly due to have 0 money after bills have been paid but, that being said, I did just get back from the store, I am going to attempt to de-power the rack and get it setup to work with the SN95 spindles. The debate is, do I make a video of it or just a few pictures.

Well, the de-powering failed. The seal at the top of the steering shaft isn't removable. The good news is, the rack must be so far gone that, its actually real easy to move by hand so, I put it back together and put the SN95 bits on it. Tomorrow I need to get some sealant to seal up the ports for the fluid and install the rack again. It will be nice to not have floppy pickle wheels to make moving the car easier.

I should also say, I have been dicking around with the engine bay, slowly getting it stripped and ready for paint and fab work.
