Im not saying its not something that shouldnt be done, but seems like overkill. Hell, if it can be done right for $1200 count me in too. Im running out of mods to do to my car at this point. :D

Im getting bored with this car and it may be gone by December anyway.

Everyone laughed at the Voltphreaks battery that I posted because of the cost. I maintain that it would be cheaper to do that battery and will save the same amount of weight as this K member IMHOP (about 60 pounds for $500) The BMW Group Buy got the price down to $475 I think and that has a 5 year warranty....

I know, Im trying but winter will only tell if I need to get rid of the car. If my new winter tire setup doesnt get my car through some good snow I will be forced to get a AWD car.

I have also gone the route of turboing a non-turbo car and it was a nightmare from hell to maintain. I dont think I would put myself through it again.

3 cars I have it narrowed down to after the LS

1. Audi S4
2. Mitsu EVO
3. WRX STI

Maybe I am biased but my used M5 will kill those cars. Go for an M5 !!:D

I didn't laugh. Both are costly ways to reduce weight and probably provide little more than that. Thats what it does take to step outside the box with this car once you've done the basics. I'm working on something with a little more bang for the buck.

M5s aren't AWD, that was his main problem with the LS.

I hate rice. My good friend has a EVO though, pretty impressive car all around. I wouldn't own it...but give credit where credit is due.

quik has been testing it and has been to the track. he just doesnt want to post his numbers yet until he has time to back them up a few times(they're good). says his car is a torque monster. but i doubt that the kit will be duplicated, your probably right about that . there isnt enough demand for it to be put into production because obviously nobody is gonna produce it if they cant profit from it.

Sooooo whats the secret hand shake for this highly classified info.

And why not post it??????????

Yep! I am spoiled living in the sunbelt... EVO's are awesome but not the same class as (any) luxury sport sedan. But, in a different environment (like the snow belt) and Evo might appeal to me too!

Peace...

Agreed. I wasn't comparing the 2 that way. Just I knew his AWD interest.

And when my EVO friend rides in my car he is surprised at the power and handling it has to offer.

good one 02LSE96LSC91SE84TC. he told me once over the phone when we were trying to figure out an issue with my car. he said he doesnt want to make claims until he knows that they are legit by duplicating them. i dont want to spoil it for him and i dont remeber exact numbers just ballparks. once you figure out the password im sure he'll tell. j/k

OK so no real facts yet. Still I'll settle for a G-tech or similar device. Or a "ball park" figure, what the heck.

I just hope the secret hand shake doesn't have "B" and "S" mixed in with all the other movements.

you are lucky Kelleyo! Ive been looking to move from this snowbelt for a while to a much warmer place. But with 2 kids, wife, and a good job its hard to do. So a cheaper alternative is for me to get a AWD car.

And those are on my afford list. Not that Im crazy about any of them but they serve their purpose in the snow when I REALLY need to get somewhere and there is a fresh pile of 6" snow on the roads.
