TRW/MOOG Same?

I buy parts all the time and when I buy each they are listed as either TRW or MOOG. I am running the #'s and all the front end parts come up as Moog parts. I see the parts have TRW cast into them. I can find MOOG but not TRW whats the deal?

OK to cut to the chase of what I'm after can anyone show me links to where I can buy TRW upper and lower control arms?

TRW was the OEM supplier to Ford for the LCA's and UCA's.

TRW was purchased years ago by Federal Mogul, and TRW parts were then sold under the Moog brand. You'll often find TRW stamped parts in Moog boxes. It's not possible to buy TRW boxed parts anymore.

I spent some time last spring tracking down LCA's and UCA's that were stamped TRW, but sold in Moog packaging. If you want TRW parts, that's what you'll have to do also.

Am I the only one who is confused?....besides "Trippen Out"....I am newbie here so I have no excuse. Gawd!

It sounds like if I order Moog UCA's from RockAuto..(the most expensive ones, PN#s found in at least three other threads here, including the sticky to end all suspension questions) I will get TRW stamped UCA's.

So who is Raybestos and ACDelco...this label is also on the more expensive UCA's for a Mark VIII on the RockAuto.

Maybe I should get off and look at my car's underside and go to pull-a-part!

TRW parts are older runs. There are some left over and got put into MOOG boxes. As the old stock gets sold off ALL parts will then end up being MOOG.

I would say old....Federal-Mogul bought all of TRW's replacement auto parts business in 92.
