I have come acroos a 90 ls v8 non sport in a scrap yard near me. Good shape 33k miles. I need some parts for my 01 sport..

This may sound crazy but I cant seem to locate the plunger/switch that lets the car know when the trunk is closed. It keeps saying on the status screen that the trunk is ajar when its not. I just recently installed some subs an and amp in there. I wired the remote wire to my rear running lights so i can switch it on and off via the lights. Could this be the cause? I also closed the trunk with a tool or 2 in the groove around the edge. I think maybe the vibration from the subs may have caused the wire to come loose from the closed witch. But first I must locate it.

I also need 2-3 coils. So i will be taking all 8 from the scrap car to hopefully get 3 replacements. Whoever had the car before me broke the tabs off of a few of the electrical connectors. This cant be good since they back off like a 1/8 inch when u let them go with a clip broke off. So how hard is it to replace that wire harness to the coils? Feasible? I dont have a service manual.

Also I'm taking the headlights since mine have condensation and these dont. Ill use them till I open mine and repair them and add angel eyes.

The plunger is on the left side of the deck lid. It looks like a black rubber bumper.

I have the exact same problem right now. On the little plunger switch, the rubber piece has came off. I need to get a new one as well.

Please post photo's of the "90 ls v8 non sport", I have never seen one of those.

Anyone got any input on those coil connector wires?

Also i dont see the plunger. I must be blind. I see a rubber bumper but there is one on the right side also.

Edit... Ok I found it. I AM blind. I was lookin on the sides not the very back. Since I'm working out kinks in my sound system I had the trim off on the back of the trunk.

My bad.
