Thanks guys. it was definitely worth the sacrifice. The boot, the bezel painted black & the gauges make the interior of the car change drastically. I'll post a couple before/after pictures when I get a chance.
DIRTY BOY!
I've had these gauges for over 12 years. I lost the green sleeves. Only reason I have the red ones on the bulb is because that's exactly where they were... inside the gauges on the bulbs. These gauges were in my red T-Bird back in 2000 & I had them all in red to match the car. I wouldn't even know where to buy the sleeves alone, otherwise I'd be all over them.
Grab an extra defrost switch panel from the junk yard, LVC member, ebay, etc... that doesn't have the heated seats knobs. Tuck away your plugs underneath the dash somewhere & make the holes on the newly acquired panel. This way when you go sell the car you can always reverse it back to the OEM look.
Thanks everyone!
Looks awesome, man! And I like the look of the shifter boot. The only thing that might make it better is a functional boost gauge next to the defrost switch.![]()

You need to put some green filters over the bulbs so they match.
Looks sweet Alex. I like the shifter boot idea also. Definitely put green sleeves over the bulbs in the gauges, to help tone down that bright light at night.

Love the look and the placement, who needs heated seats in a summer only car anyway. I plan to do this set up over the winter and this post will have certainly helped.
