I did the trip odometer diagnostic mode thing like Quik talked about in the "cool options" thread. The digital speedo and tach were fun to watch while driving :D

Anyway it displayed three dtc's in the dtc section:
D262 Missing SCP message.
D041 SCP Invalid or missing data for Vehicle Speed
9470 ???

Does anyone know what code 9470 is and are any of these something to be concerned about?

I did a Google search on the first error message and came up with this on a Ford Mustang forum:

D262 "missing SCP" (aka U1-262) indicates that there was a disruption in the Module Communications Network (MCN).

This network links the PCM/ RCM/ HEC/ GEM & ABS (if applicable) modules together for data transfer communications.

The instrument cluster incorporates the PATS control module functions which is connected through the MCN.

If your speedo is off by a couple of MPH, it may not throw a code but MAY register as a SCP advisory.

Probable cause: The wiring harness at the back of the instrument cluster is loose or a grounded circuit to the cluster is open.

OR ... it's Gremlins

Hope this helps

What to do if you get a trouble code
First off don't panic, these are not OBDII codes, call your local Ford dealer and they will give you more info. Some of these codes are NORMAL like when the dealer needs to program a new key for your stang, an unprogrammed key will be inserted for this procedure, you may get a code 9601, this does not mean you have a problem with your stang. You can clear codes by disconnecting your battery for a while and reconnecting.
