I read where the 03+ got the 5R55S tranny, but after checking an OASIS on my LS, it shows different. Any ideas?

OASIS RESULT:

think they switched in mid july of 2003. so if your build date was prior to then you got the crappy N like I did:)

Anyone know the differences in the two trannies? I have searched and found information about clutch packs, clutch engagment sequences, etc.

I know the description of n vs. s means synchronous and non-synchronous. not sure what the net result is. maybe the s doesn't fail all the time????
