Transmission shift problem?

I am having a problem when my ls shifts from 2nd to 3rd it acts like i am running over speed bumps but if i give it some gas it goes away? Does not do this all the time it seems intermittent? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

Year? V8 or V6? Miles? Last fluid change?

Oops sorry 2001 v8 8 months ago! 130,000 Miles

Still, I'd want to check the fluid level and condition first. Who did the last fluid exchange?

A local repair shop! I will check fluid levels and condition of fluid and post back! I have had one other issue it seems when it rains i get a weird miss when driving just like for a second it stops running but it doesnt do it all the time more like it might do it every couple of miles! If it isnt wet or raining i t does not do it! Not sure if this is related or not!

If you haven't replaced all of the coils and all of the spark plugs in the last 60K miles, you need to do so. Common issue.

35,000 miles ago all were changed and timing was fixed! But i do have a oil leak somewhere that i smell through the vents and i believe it is inside the valve cover!

Had the same problem with mine after gasket sets replaced, found faulty sealing by looking at exhaust manifold for burnt oil, had to repair myself. Shop wouldn't honor their warranty after 30 days!
