In preparation for SSHS10, I dropped The Mark off at Aric's today for a transmission fluid flush. He is either going to use Mercon V, or Wynn's 100% full synthetic transmission fluid. He uses Wynn's in cars with high stall TC's, with great results, so I think he will probably use that over Mercon V. He will decide for sure when he sees and smells the Mercon V that is in the car now.

I have not changed the trans fluid since the trans was built by the Bradshaw brothers, other than adding 4 quarts or so when the single disc was replaced by the triple disc tc about three or four years ago.

Since I have completely committed to switch the car over to manual shifting on the street and the strip, I thought it would be a good time for them to change the fluid and put a wrench on the tail shaft, drive shaft, and inspect everything prior to the shootout.

He is going to load up the xcal with different manual shift lock up tunes, so I can try different lock up's. The tc has slip turned off, which means it is either 100% locked when on, or 100% unlocked when off. The three tunes he is going to try is 1) 3rd gear only lock 2) 2nd lock, unlock, 3rd lock 3) 2nd through 3rd locked with no unlock between gears.

Hopefully, one of these three tunes will be suited for the street, and one for the strip. :)
