Transmission issues

I recently acquired a 1994 Lincoln MK VIII. Previous owner took great care of the car, it's got 144k miles on it. Everything works except the transmission, it has reverse but no forward gears. I haven't dropped the pan, but it has fresh fluid and is filled to the correct level.

First check the mecanical operation of gear selector. If pan dropped - visual check the selector operation. If you don't have the service manual - check for ATSG manual for AODE/4R70W.
