OK, Brandon, Tim and I get together to do the J-mod a couple of weeks back, everything looks good and goes back together good. We back the car out and in forward gears we get shuddering and slipping BAD.
Towed to trans shop and they pull the valve body and swap Tim's into it-still no go. Pump pressure OK. They pull the trans and find metal throughout, everthing in the trans was trashed. End of story is $2500 later- rebuilt trans with heavy duty everything including torque converter (police unit with higher stall)= don't know how much higher, but car turns tires over real good and breaks them loose when manually shift from 5k rpm up.
Didn't really have much choice since I was 120 miles from home and had to leave for CA that week.
Next up Traclok and exhaust as soon as my bunghole heals up from the trans fiasco.
Brandon did a great job on door handles(chrome) and sensor lowering.
Going over tomorrow to fire up my '49 Cosmopolitan convertible and go watch fuel altereds run at Mo-Kan . Wahoo!
