trans temp question

i got a gauge in my pillar i want to hook up, its a trans temp gauge that came with a sender but i want to know if our marks have a wire in the trans harness that sends a temp, i know we dont have a temp gauge, but i would think one of the wires in the harness would send an actual temp reading to the pcm, is there? it would be so easy to just tap this wire for my gauge instead of all the b.s that came with the gauge, does anyone know the answer? thank you.

I don't know if the gauge works that way, it needs a sender matched to the gauge... now ford stuff works on a 0-5 volt range, but that gauge might not...

I'd just use the sender the gauge came with.
