Yes it will physically bolt to the engine and crossmember. You will however need a shorter/longer driveshaft. I can't remember which though. IIRC, the p71 trans is no stronger than a regular 4r70w

i though the crown vics has the wrong/long tailshaft.. i dont think it'll work

i'd stick w/98 up trans

Extended tailshaft housing... no go with the Mark shaft...

i am going to have it rebuilt $1100 and thats the high side . i bought the car for 250. the traning was to be bad but i drove it for a year.

That trans isn't worth rebuilding. You can get a 98 or newer for less.

you can rebuild it to the end of the earth, it wont change the fact the tailshaft housing is incorrect
