I finally have a couple bucks to fix the LS, anyone know of a good trans guy in So Cal?(preferrably in the Inland Empire)

What is a fair price to get the Transmission R&R'ed on an 01 LS V8?

Thanks!!!

My ls is currently at Dr. Trans in san diego. They were the cheapest shop I could find for my clutch replacement. Been in business a while. Service so far has been good. I'll give a full review after I get my car back. You can go ahead and call them for an estimate though.

thansk bro. Looking forward to your update.

Anyone else know what a rebuild costs on the 5R55N? I'm getting a lot of variance in price.

Obviously I want to spend the least amount of cash possible but I want it done right.

A shop down the street from me said he would do it for 400. He asked me if my tranny was shifting hard cause he had done a few LSes and they had the same hard shifting cause of the solenoid going out. Interested in a reputable shop too. I want it done right and have it fix the problem. I dont want to be without a car for a week to get it and have to take it back cause it wasn't fixed right.

Ok. Yeah I will get you the name and number later tonight when I head back home

My bad. I forgot to stop by. I just got back from there. He said he's fixed the tranny on the ls when they've had 60-85,000 miles.Hes's had a few in there. He's rates went up. It's now 600 for a selenoid job and the whole tranny about 1300.
