I bought a 2004 v6 the other day and starting to fix issues that it has. I have the goofy tranny shifting issues. shifts like it has a shift kit. fast out of first, super hard slam from 2-3, then a big flair from 3-4. tranny doesn't seem to slip. so according to what I have read on here it sounds like the solenoid pack needs to be replaced. also read that I want the pack that the part number starts with 9 to get latest version. is 9L2Z-7G391-A the correct part number? also read on here that it is a good idea to install a shift kit while in there. is that still the idea of choice? is the transgo the kit to get? also not pulling the trans out. so not all the shift kit will be installed. is this a problem? last question is, I know I have a 5r55 trans. what is the letter that goes with the trans I have?(w,s,n,e)
