Hey everyone! I was thinking of installing a tranny cooler. Which type does everyone prefer? Tube or fin? Also, does the marks come with a cooler from the factory? If so, where is it located? If not, how do you install one?

Most cars come with stock coolers incorporated into the radiator, as far as an aftermarket cooler DONT get a fin, they are crap when it comes to cooling.

I have a bar type installed on my mark approximately 24,000 GVW capacity. I wouldn't go any less. Any brand will work, just don’t waist any money on a fin type.

somemarks came with optional coolers, but i have only seen them factory installed on 97 and 98 marks and they located them to the header panel braces, and hung in front of the condensor behind the grill. i have 3 of these factory coolers in my shop. they have ford part numbers on them too. i saved them for the hell of it.

I think you are looking at the power stering cooler

I used the B&M plate style which I think was #70264, and installed it as an inline after the radiator as I live around Lake Erie and it helps get the fluid warmed up in the winter yet also gives it the final cooling in the summer. Here is a pic to show how they will fit under the header panel.

No, he's not. My 97 has the same tranny cooler he's talking about installed. I *think* it was part of a TSB for the Gen 2 Marks at some point.

you are correct I forgot about the TSB it was for 93-97 marks
I have never seen one where do they tap the line can you get pics
