my mom bought a 04 explorer the next day she changed her mind so she asked me if i wanted to keep the truck and trade my 2000 ls8 her payments are 280.00 a month for 4 years plus she will give me 500.00 my ls8 is paid off but stiil it has had many problems and still has an issue with truning off when ideling at stop lights and sometimes over reving it's self my girlfrind and our kids are the ones that us the car everyday so should i take the trade?:confused:
 
You could probably get more for the LS on here or Ebay. If you can't fix it I'm sure someone would buy it and make good use of the car. Someone similar to me!
 
Idk all the details about the explorer but I dont think its all that great of a deal..

(I tried to find the most expensive explorer) 2004 Explorer 4x4 w/ 4.0 Fuel Flex = DEALER price $12,565... your payments are going to equal $13,440, so you can look at it this way.. you will be PAYING $1000 for your parents to take your LS

EDIT: this is a total with 50,000miles on the Explorer, like i said I just guesstimated...
 
This is why our country is :q:q:q:qed up...ppl buy a car...owe alot of money for it...and then :q:q:q:qing change their mind....next time she better test drive the :q:q:q:q out of a car...wait a month...then make a decision......

You CAN NOT blame a bad economy on consumers. Consumers make the economy function.

If you buy a car, you have payments, you obviously finance through a bank (well 99% of the time.. some dealers have lot financing).

If you dont make the payments, the bank takes your car. The bank sells the car at a used dealers auction and makes nearly 70% of the money back, and the they have two choices with the balance.. THey can either sue you for the rest, or write it off on their taxes hince getting the money anyways.

THIS is why I dont believe in the Economic Stimulus... Let the :q:q:q:qing banks crumble.. they did it to themselves with the multi-million dollar Xmas bonuses and private jets. :q:q:q:q 'em

Anyways, the car then goes back onto another used car lot and sells once again.. money keeps circulating and the economy keeps growing
 
Fanni MAe and Freddie mac made loans to people that couldn't afford them and then sold them to other banks. You will never guess who were the main people to benefit from Fannie Mae and Freddie. Barny Frank, Congressman Todd and yes Our beloved Pres. Obama. That is how he poured so much money into his campaign . More than anyone in history. The tax payers paid for him getting elected. This is no $hit. Look it up

a lincoln for an explorer??? Personally, I think Explorers are a pile of crap and I think a lot of other people agree with me.. I'm not a big fan of the LS, but if it was me, I'd stick with the Lincoln hands down, especially since you said it was paid for??? I'd call this a no-brainer...

Another thing that bothers me about Obama is that his has been in office for merely a few months, and has still gotten away with SO MUCH! Im NOT racist, but I have to say he gets away with so much because of his ethnic background.. I guess his "flash" may have a little to do with it, but it bothers me that it evident, EVEN IF he turns out to be worse then Bush (God Forbid!!), he will never be consided for impeachment.

Bush spent 40million dollars on his Inogeration party and the government made such a HUGE deal about it that even citizens were begining to get irrate. How many ppl here know that Obama spent 120million on his party (3 TIMES as much as bush)? That was never spoken of..
 
No way man. You could take the $280 a month that you'd spend on car payments, and use it to fix your car, rather than spend it on a POS Exploder that's just gonna break and cost you more money on top of the payments.

I'm with you man. Obama sounded more like Reagan when he was campaigning. Now he acts and sounds more like a socialist. Making the CEO of GM step down. That is just wrong. None of the people surrounding him have ever worked in business or ran one. Carreer politicians. Gives the Queen a freakin' Ipod. WTF!!! Embarrass the country why don't you.
 
Though a newer vehicle with no problems probably sounds appealing would you be happy paying for a vehicle you did not chose. If you are thinking about going into a payment why not just go look for something that fits you(not saying the explorer won't, we had a few and I liked them but I just borrowed them).
 
I never wanted McCain or Obama to be in office anyways...how come since I've been legible to vote that America can't bring 2 good candidates to choose from? Because of this I haven't been voted since I've been registered....freakin retarded...


but back on topic...I say no!! Keep the LS..trick it out..if your mom doesn't want the Explorer tell her to get an Escape..my mother LOVES hers and has been the most reliable and worth every dollar SUV she's ever had..and in 4 years she's NEVER had a problem with her Escape...because people crashing into her car at School intersections......damn illegals and their no insurance coverage :p
 
If its been less then 30 days (possibly 90 depending on dealer) since she purchased the vehicle, they may consider letting her trade for something else. Obviously with it being a used vehicle this varies from dealer to dealer.

Worth a shot to ask.
 
I'd research before making any decision. I've seen dealers offering new Explorers Eddie Bauers and Limiteds for 25K brand new.

Not much demand for these any more.
