Well im going to the track friday night. Ill have the Magnaflow 14416's installed inplace of my moroso spiral flows, and hopefully ill have my 3" intake on. Parts show up from Intakehoses.com on thursday, really doesnt give me much time!

anyways heres whats going on in my head.

<!4.85 Lincoln is getting demoted
>14.85 Lincoln continues to get modded

Fridays forcast is sunny and a high of 76. Ill be getting to the track around 6:30. Im going to do a nice cool down. hr and half or so, try my best to keep it cool. if she doesnt run better then a 14.8 all night, im done with this damn car. But its not because this car cant be fast...its becuase it cant be fast because of the serious lack of aftermarket support. Its just not worth it anymore. to be honest if i do run faster then a 14.8...i may be done with it anyways.

Found a C10 long bed for under 1000$ with only surface rust in 3 spots. Compare the aftermarket of a C10 to a Lincoln LS, and the LS wouldnt even show up. deffinetly gonna buy it and turn it into a project truck. its sad when an 86 C10 has more potential then lincolns "sport" sedan haha

lincoln wont be getting sold though, she will just be used for her intended use from lincoln.

 so your saying u dont think she is gonna run faster then a 14.8 lol

ah well...i hope she goes out with a bang, and not a bad bang!

Just don't see a half second coming off your times from changing mufflers and a 3" home made intake.

I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Mufflers and a home made intake.

Assuming the intake flows decent.

You will need a 60' around 2.15 or better to get her done. Not easy to do.

no no no no haha. im not that stupid...

15.3 is my best time with old intake and a STOCK exhaust. and only the drivers seat lol.

Since then i now i have a 2.5 dual cat back exhaust w/x pipe. i was running moroso mufflers but im switching because there rusting out.

so friday ill be running a 2.5" cat back, and new intake.

15.3 was just 3" pvc tubing to the stock un modified air box.

Ok that'll help but you will still need to break into the 2.1s to do it for sure.

To be honest your launch will probably decrease your time more than your mods. Mods will help though.

Do you decrease your tire pressure at all?

All depends on your 60 foot then, like 02EURHER*&@*&$#@$JHF mentioned.

^ thats how i say his name most the time too "02ls-whatever the :q:q:q:q"

(no offense 02LS)

ill take a tire gauge with me this time. i havent checked the tire pressure in alooong time. so no i never deflate them at all.

think it would help with all seasons?

It can help some but won't make a crap tire stick.

Before you get to the track try 25psi, do a small brake stand, don't smoke them just spin them over a few times. Look at the tire you should see how much tire is touching the ground (look at the tire not the ground). You want to get as much touching as can lower will do this but I wouldn't go below 20psi. I find 23-25 works. You don't have to check but at least lower down to 25ish. Should help with traction.

Remember not to smash the peddle, just put her down smooth and firm. 1000-1200rpm.

well my intake wont be on for tomorrow night, im really disappointed. Got all the pipe barbs and got my 3" pipes painted with VHT flat black. waited two weeks about for my intake elbows to show up from intakehoses.com. turns out that a 3" 90* elbow wont fit over a 3" PVC tube, guess it was my own stupidity:Bang

im still mad tho!

Yep, always got to verify which pieces are measured I.D. and what ones are measured O.D. When placing orders for T-bolt clamps (superchargers and turbochargers) verification of this is needed too; otherwise things will show up and be all funky. No prob, just go to the track, have a little fun and don't sweat the small stuff. If you get into the habit of setting rock hard goals with your vehicles you will find yourself concentrating so much on the goals that you forget to enjoy it.

WOOT!

intake didnt get put on. so exhaust only...

r/t .090 (woot)
60' 2.303
330 6.465
1/8 9.824 @74.04mph
1000 12.672
1/4 15.078 @ 93.75mph

old best was a 15.372 @ 93.28 (with 3" intake on stock airbox and stock exhaust)

first run was a 15.7 @ 93.XXmph. i was disappointed but then saw the 93mph and knew it would go faster. plus i had a 2.5 60' cuz i spun like crazy.

so i lowered the tire pressure to 25psi, went to run and hooked like its never hooked befor. i couldve even gave it more gas. Im not trying to be cocky but if i didnt leave after that run, im sure i couldve gotten a 14.99 or better.we will not know untill next time tho.

Oh BTW...heres one to add to the kill list...

early 70's corvette stingray :D

 i aint done racing till the intake gets put on

i honestly think i can do a 14.8 or better..

either way...besies maybe an Xcal...shes not getting anymore mods.

You can do 14.8 for sure. Just need to get that 60' down, you wouldn't even have to make any changes to the car. While the intake will help, say 1 mph, you could meet your goal as the car sits with the right launch technique.

How do you stage the car? Im going to guess you could cut a .1-.2 with a shallow stage...if your not now.
