trac loc fitment issues

I took my 3:73 gears and trac loc in to get installed and to my dismay I was told that the trac lok and case would need material removed I purchased these items from a vendor stating these parts were markviii specific has this happened to anyone else

take it somewhere else.
tons of people on here with 3.73 and 4.10 geared cars.

Yeap. The trac-loc I bought from SCP did indeed need some material removed... much to my guy's and my wallet's dismay. Just installed less than a month ago, BTW.

They are an interference fit
You will need a case spreader to put the parts in.

If you have a stock Trac loc they go right in. Is that what you have?
