Finally gave in and took the tire sensors to a tire shop. Been looking for a deal on a tire machine for months now. $80 just to install the internal sensors. The tires are 245/45/18 BF G's ultra sport comp II and apparently my aftermarket rims are tough to do. He had a tire changer with two help arms and he spent over an hour and a half - had to remove each tire completely and reinstall and balance.
At least it is done and no more zero's flashing and beeping all the time.
