Tomorrow is the big day for me guys.

Gen2s and the TBW run low 2.2 and high 2.1 if you get the knack in the 60'. I got my Gen1 down to a 2.12x before gears, the throttle response is just better with the cable.

The converter is definately helping. Better 60' better overall time.

Your mph is low. Likely wheels. I picked up 2mph by loosing my 20s to the 17s.

That 2mph will get you real close but likely still miss the 13.99.

However you will likely get drop the 60' down with stockers.....if you still stick. A low 2.0 60. with the 2mph and you'll be real close.

Ive trapped 97-98mph before with the 20's on tho, its really stumping me as to why its trapping slower.. air pressure was checked before the runs as well.

One day at the track is just one day at the track. Next time she may run faster without a single change. 10 times down really isn't alot. Your times are pretty consistent but another 10 or 20 times will help you perfect launching and bring the overall down.

If it makes you fell any better my 4.10 8.8 swap only dropped me to 14.284 from 14.368......so far. I recognize traction is limiting how hard I can launch it but really expected more.

Since you beat my time I will need to get back to the track.

Wanna finish off my Nittos? Lol well into the wear bars after yesterday.. They hook great after a 2 second clean off/warm up..

I never run on 20s anymore. I gotto break down and throw some DRs on the 17s. I may see if some T-Bird or Taurus/Sable 15s clear the rear breaks and DR a pair of those.

Theres a Taurus with I believe 15's up at our shop that was a wreck, I can pull one off and check sometime if you want.. I wish Weld still made the drag lights and pro stars in 16's.. What tires are you running?

Im looking for trades actually, not technically a sale. lol I might not tho if 02LSE is going to try and run down my time, I cant let that happen :D

To clarify I never run 20s at the track anymore.

I run my stock LSE 17s with stock rubber, michlin pilot whatevers.

I will definately do it in fall. lol. I've been meaning to better my time anyway as I think I definately left some room to improve. I won't bet I can hit a 13.99 but would love to see a 14.0xx or a 100mph. 98.66 best now.

Check to see if they work. I just assume buy 15 stickies, probably cheaper.

Saddly I own a 97 Sable, my step sons, never took the time to see if they work. I will be signing it over to the ex soon so probably won't ever get the chance.

Oh c'mon, lets have a get into the 13's shoot out! Fastest time by the seasons end wins something, like Pektels wheels lmfao

Lot easier in this.

A Mustang II??!?!? Bleh! Not my style but if it does the job sure.. All Im saying is everyone on here is worried about LSE conversions, and mean everyone! I need some competition as far as performance goes and your the closest competitor.. Sully disappeared but maybe Ill text him and see if he wants in..

I'm putting rear leafs and Caltrac Bars on the CobraII in my spare time these days, want to drive it bad. Once its rollin I play with the LSE some.

See if one of those Taurus wheels will work on the rear of our car. I did weigh one of the Sable wheels when I did brakes on my sons car, just never threw it onto mine to check for clearance. It was almost 10lbs lighter than my 17. Slightly narrower tire but a DR probably will still be lighter.

I never said they were gay, Ive seen some pretty badass ones at shows before, I just said not my style.. Im heading up to the shop right now but it looks like its raining up there, Ill see what I can gather as far as info goes, The car itself is in the back which is a sand lot so I might not be able to get the wheel off until someone comes back with a tow truck, then Ill just lift it up with the bed.

Cool. Some newer ones are 16s. The 15s are only 6.5" wide I think. Looking at the LS rear brakes I think they'll clear but can't say for sure.

The IIs are good sleepers as they were veiwed as a joke for power. No one expects them to move. The Blue one surprized alot of people. I drove it 3 summers 90,91 and 92 picking on new 5.0s and any thing that wanted to go. Back then a 14 second car was pretty fast, not like today when grandmas Camry can do it and Mustangs with V6es can do 13s.

hey im about painting the LS, not the LSE conversion, but maybe someday ill just buy a LSE lol

Why you gotta hate for,it's just so damn sexy!!!!!!!!

Soon enough I'll run your 13's, maybe even 12's, turbo anyone. How's that for performance. I really wish I could've ran with headers first but oh well, someone else will have to be the gunie pig for that

if your maxing the timing out then you could be hurting topend. might feel quicker but in the end it isnt faster. and whens its hot outside, the computer might start pulling timing and could put you at a lower total timing than you started. just a thought

When I maxed out the timing is when I trapped 96mph but I also heard a faint sound that kinda heard like pre-det so I back it off after that run..

Alex were trying to run 13's N/A which is a lot harder.
