was looking at getting new rotors and brakes for my car and noticed that there was some tearing on these parts circled in yellow in the pic. both sides on the rear are like this. also i have some vibration at about 65 mph. are these the toe links? any other suspension parts i should look at and check to see if theyre bad? would this be causing my steering wheel shake at 65? i dont know too much about which parts i need and have looked at the 2006 workshop manual that was posted on the site. any help would be appreciated thanks.

Yes those are the rear toe link/ adjust links. That probly wouldn't cause your steering wheel to shake. That would be your tie rod ends and/or ball joints

Or tire Issue (balance, bad tire, etc.). I've never had bad tie-rods cause a vibration.

ive had the tires checked, balanced, and alignment

I had my tires balanced and rotated along with an alignment after I changed my toe links. My vibration was gone for a couple of months. The vibration came back and was due to bad shocks which sagged the rear and caused uneven tire wear. When you have your tires off check over the front ball joints to see if there is play with your hub. Your vibration could be anything, look over the suspension components when your tires are off to see if anything looks out of place.

Never mind.
Didn't see that link was already posted.

thanks for the link i used search and found it before i seen the post. so should i go ahead and replace the sway bar link while doing toe link? any other parts i should change during this?

I read the link in this thread.

My LS vibrates at about 72mph. If it were my Mustang, I'd bet money on a u-joint.

After reading the other thread, I crawled under and looked at the links. Both of the wheel end links are visibly deteriorated. The pass side is even bent on the thread side.

Is this a likely reason for the vibration?

Also, my links don't have the damper sleeves and look just like the Jag ones pictured. Should I have the crushable one?

2002 v6

Thanks
