im buying some 20 in wheels soon and i dont wanna put 235/35/20 tires on the car cuz where i live the roads are pretty rough... i was thinkin bout just puttin 235/40/20 tires on it.. does anyone have this tire setup??

i think those are gonna be too tall, go with 245/35/20. These are little taller than the 235/35/20s but also wider.

I think they would work out fine with the right offset rim. Some people put 22's on with no problems

i will be buying enkei kapone rims maybe next week. they have a 38 offset. i have stock springs and struts on my car. i will be buyin 235 40 20 or 245 40 20 tires just to be safe so i wont ever bend my wheels or have a harsh ride. anyone have 235/40/20 on there dubs???

I'm thinking both are to tall. I have 245/35/20s like mentioned above. My offset is bigger (45) too helping clearance. I think you should stay smaller like 245/30 or 235/35 to prevent rubbing.

Offset is 40-43 different places say different things im pretty sure they are 42though. Just tryin to help u out

I have Enkei Kapone wheels
They are 20x8.5 5x108mm bolt pattern +43mm offset.
245/35/20 is what you want or else you will RUB!

A 245 40 is gonna have a really tall sidewall. Its gonna be just a little under 4 inches, the stock tire sidewall on 235 50 17s is only 4.5 inches. Your wheels overall are gonna be about 28" tall on 245/40. A 235/40 is gonna be about 27.5" tall, and a 235/35 is gonna be about 26.5" tall, which is about equal to the stock tire height.
It will pretty much come down to how you want it to look. I think a 235/40/20 would work fine though.
You could ask if you can get a few different sizes mounted on one of the wheels and do a visual check before you decide to buy them. There are a few shops around my town that Ive heard will do that.
