tinted corner/blinker lenses

i've seen one or two on here, kinda rare, but people that have tinted blinker/corner headlight lenses... i'm wondering if they just tinted the orange or had a clear and tinted that? i wish the clear corner lenses were anywhere to be found..... cuz i think they'd be the best look tinted

What do you mean by tinting? Are you looking for a light smoke amber color?


I took mine out and painted the chrome reflector behind them black. I love the look.

any pictures of it? i'm not sure what i'm looking for exactly... kinda trying to find that out, but i'm going to get smoked bumper lenses when they're in stock again or on ebay... and i'd like the corners to match, i like the tinted look but i don't want to do the whole headlight and i think the just plain clear is a little too... i dunno but i don't like it that much.

Actually people have done it both ways. I remember a thread not too long ago where the amber lens was tinted. Also Ken used to sell clear and tinted lenses I believe. And it's also been done like JWerner's where they paint the reflective part of the housing.

my cousin bought a 1st gen about 18 months ago and because he didn't like how mine looked with out any reflector we made a set of clear reflectors that he used some VHT niteshades to tint them a smoked color

all we did to make them was to take the stock reflector out and trace the shape on to a piece of clear reflector from lowes (the sheets are for floresent lights in an office) cut them to size then lay them over the stock reflector and use a heat gun to make it match the contours of the orignal then tint it if you want to and glue it back in

I didnt think of that, someone else said to just make them a bit bigger like by just a hair and they press in and hold in place without issues. That is a good idea also...

I am tring to find the pictures that i took when we were doing it but i am not having any luck, and he dosnt even have a computer. the only thing that he thinks the internet is used for is to play call of duty
