Got 5% put on the other day. I can't believe I have gone this long without it. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

I'll get some new pics in the next few days after I wash her up.
 
5% is the way to go man.. I have had 5 tickets on my LS for front tints already, but I ain't gonna take em off..
 
I love the 5% all the way around and the 35% on the windshield I cant believe I waited so long I will do it first thing from now on.....
 
keeps the car cool in the summer, and keeps the sun out of your eyes. blocks alot of glare from passing cars, and cars behind you. and most inportantly it looks better.
 
Thats awesome man, im scheduling mine in for tint tomorrow i havent decided what % to go to yet, you guys have actually tinted the windshield i would think that wouldnt go over to well with Mr. Jonny Law atleast where i live.
 
it doesn't go over well with the law. there are a few members here that are a.) immature and/or ignorant b.) feel they are above the law c.) get a kick out of getting tickets and getting taken out of their cars at gunpoint d.) don't care if they lose every material posession should they (god forbid) get in an accident or e.) all of the above

I would hope the answer is A but I'm afraid it's may be E......:(

I cant belive the Bull SH!T people talk on this site because of members tinting our windshields.....You guys think what you want about us but I diagree where are not any of that stuff you called us above.....ever done anything to your car that doesnt meet D.O.T. laws??? Then you are in the same boat and Make sure your tint on the front glass doesnt pass that AS1 line at all because then you might as well tinted the whole thing!!!

I already ranted about this and I will not do it again but I dont think its cool for people to bash others for tinted windsheild.......

Well Silver, I support your right to do anything in the world you want to your car to personalize it to your own tastes. And if you want to run the risk of multiple fines, etc., that is totally up to you and nobody else. However, that right FLAT ENDS when it can involve the safety or well being of others. All I can say is God help you if you ever harmed any of my family while driving on a dark highway at night because your vision was impaired. I'm serious....there would be no place to hide. I would own your butt for a long, long, time. I think that is what others are saying here when they criticize you tinting your windshield. It's not your personal tastes they criticize, it's the safety issues, etc....and is it worth the chance. If you feel it is, then everyone else can go fly a kite as far as you're concerned. Just keep in mind the consequences....

Silver wants to be an EMT and save lives. However, he modifies his car so that there is a good possibility of taking a life. What's wrong with this picture? :confused:

Your an ass straight up

I wish you could all come and sit in my car and drive it at night....I can see better because I have no glare from headlights and other blinding lights....
In the early mornings when the sun is coming up I can see with out having to use a sun shade to block the car infront of me...
Today When I was on the way home the sun was in my face the entire wat and the guy behind me went off the road because I stopped and he couldnt see my brake lights I watched him in the rear view mirror with his hands up blocking the sun then jerking the wheel because he almost rear-ended me....Luckly he didnt hit anything and there was lots of grass....

People please dont talk SH!t about me and what Im trying to do with my life I am working very hard to get where I want in life Im 20 Years old and Im already half way through the schooling to become a Fire Fighter EMT... I you dont like my car Im sorry If you dont like my Im sorry Im sick of people on here talking :q:q:q:q about me and how Im killing people all day long because only 35% of the uv rays are frying my forhead now!!! Go F you selves if you think I cant see and Im driving blind all day long...I invite anyone on this board to meet with me and drive my car at night and see how there is no vision lost....

I think some members here have grudges against each other, it's just on opposite sides of the spectrum. Although some vision may be lost due to the tinting of a windshield, rear lights would still be seen as easy if someone had tinted tailights. Calling someone immature over tinting a windshield and telling them they're going to kill someone is a little extreme. Try saying be careful how you drive etc. now instead of calling someone a murderer. For all you know, he could be a better driver with a tinted windshield than you are without. Be careful what you say, make friends not enemies.

WOW Im am so shocked at this statement....Its funny to me that everyone is not saying anything about the illegal 5% on the sides....Im more likely to not see someone coming from that side at night(which is why I drive with the windows down{i can see cars just couldnt see people walking without lights}) But I agree and Like I said if someone wants to come sit and drive my car I think they would see {no pun intended} how little difference it make when looking out...Now If your waiting for me to wave you on You wont see it happen but I have a horn and lights for that....

You know I have to say, it's my car, my windows and if I want them so dark you can't see your hand in your face sittin in it, then that is up to me.

Each state has a different law, some none! So WTF! Why is it their business when collectively they can not come up with a decision, let alone justification, even in the states that do have laws, the laws are crap. Cops you can agree with me here, no BS. If homie is gonna wipe you, he's wipen you regardless of what his f'in tint is.

It does really P me off if they are that freaked out about a car's windows, another way to make money off citizens. If you are that freaked out then pull your rods and make them lay in the friggin road, you will anyway! Just like the seat belt law, a way to make $$$. I believe it is my choice, it's my car, my insurance, my responsibility! and I do wear mine and my passengers do to, but not for one second because the law says so.

You still a-skarred to tear the mattress label off?????? I'm old school, it's mine, I paid for it, I insure it and protect (well as much as the da mn law will allow!!!), label is in the friggin trash here.

Man, you just don't get it. You're not complying with the law. What part of that don't you understand? You can try to justify it however you want, but it won't change anything! You're defending and indefensible position.

I'm sure someone with that much $$$ invested in their car is looking to get into an accident (sarcasm). We live in Orlando, there are a**holes trolling around with purple bubble tint on the rear window with no other tint and they endanger my life every day (no turn signals, speeding, not looking when changing lanes, etc). Thanks to SilverLS with his training maybe he can save someone's life who doesn't give a sh*t about their car or how they drive it.

Take a second and think about it. Who would invest over $2k in upgrades if they drove like "S"? Oh and and SilverLS, I better not see your car in the news. :)

Maybe you know ppl in your town who upgrade their car and drive like crap, but in Orlando its a different story. People who care about their cars here are the safest drivers, it's the ppl with sh*tty cars you have to watch out for b/c here - they don't give a damn.
