Guys, I know it's NOT Mark VIII related but I need a bit of help here. Due to our financial struggle my wife gave up her financed Jeep Patriot. She owed $19,000. She's currently driving my black 93 & she's enjoying it but not as much as I would like her to. She really wants an SUV.

I'm willing to give up my baby. My most faithful car yet, my 99 F-150 Lariat... but exclusively for a Lincoln Aviator. We are both in love with the Aviators & it's the only SUV I'm willing to swap my truck for. Well, I'd do it for a Navigator but she doesn't want a Navi due to size. Anyway, check out the Link I posted on the SUV side of LVC. It gives you more details about the truck. Let me know if you guys know of someone wanting to trade their Aviator for a truck. Thanks.

I thought Suv fascination was burried with last decade. Guess not. Maybe at $7 a gallon we can end it once and for all.

Aviators are nice. 300hp and beat of all 5-speed box! Nice ride too.

i too love the aviators but i see a big problem with them, it was only produced for one generation. so when the time comes to need some oddball aviator only part you will be screwed.

If you're not ok finacially just have her drive the mark. Sell the truck and keep that money saved till you feel comfy finacially. Then buy her what she wants outright.

Well, considering the mileage of the Aviator we plan on purchasing I don't see us having that car for too long. Maybe just 2-3 years tops.

have you ever looked into the last of the mountaineers?

You know I actually did. I'm impresed but I prefer the Aviator. It's one of those things, if you are going to invest your cash, do it for the car you want.

The 93 looks really bad aesthetically but she hates the 97. I will be selling my blue 93, my cordovan 97 & my truck.

From here the '93 looks pretty nice... or do you mean the clothtop one?

Well my blue 93 needs way too much to be my kind of car... Plus it has that landeau top that I can't stand.
I'm talking about my black 93. It's a nice car but the paint is baked by the sun. It has those ugly swirls & unless I wax it BYWEEKLY the paint has that white haze over it. My black 93 needs a paint job badly. That's what I want to do when I sell the blue 93.

thats fine and all but ive seen the rear window trim crack on ones that were just one year old

I've seen about 12 Aviators. A good 3-4 had the trim cracked just like you mentioned. I noticed that it's a trait amongst them. Still doesn't make me back away from them though. I've always loved the Navi & the Aviator & time has come to get one.
