Has anyone here replaced their inner and outer tie rods? I'm thinking about doing it myself but not really sure how hard it'll be. I've always tried to stay away from messing with the steering and what not because I figure a mistake in that area would end up being pretty dangerous. Has anyone done a writeup on either of the two? I tried searching but found nothing. Alldatadiy has nothing on doing this either. Anyway, just looking for any info on it, peoples experiences...whatever. Thanks a lot.

Welcome,
You'll need an alignment after so it may just be easier to take it somewhere and get it done. You could certainly do it yourself, and get the alignment close with a measuring tape, and drive it straight to the alignment shop.
I would do all inner and outer while you're in there. If you do it yourself, just be sure to properly torque everything and you will be fine. Its pretty straight forward.

Another way of being sure to have it close enough to get to the alignment shop is count the full number of rotations it takes to remove the old.
