I've had it in my garage for about 8 months and finally decided to put it in. The oem one as usual broke sometime before it got into my hands, could tell it was broken for awhile by the way it looked. I thought i stripped the bolts cause they were in there so badly(rusty). I twisted them so hard that i broke a 8" extension. Literally twisted the metal. Had a buddy take his impact to them and got them free enough for me to do the rest of the work. that was 4 months ago. lol... Install was easy and to the point minus 1 thing.
I thought the mk8 endlinks were going to be the same but they werent. The mk8 swaybar has a bigger mounting hole on the swaybar to alow the stock enlinks to "fully seat". The sc 's holes were about half the size. Sh it i say. After calling the local parts depots they all ended up wanting around 40 bucks for the sc kit. screw that. Went to ace hardware and grabbed a 1/2 "metal and wood" bit ( $16) and headed back home. The thing was the biggest peice ever. Wouldn't drill through it worth a dam. Ended up using a smaller bit and moved it around the hole taking alittle off at a time. Mounted it up and all is well. Needless to say i returned the $16 pos.
Not sure if it was discussed here before but i was unaware that the endlinks wouldn't match up. And this is also written for anybody else considering replacing there oem broken swaybar and keeping the stock endlinks to save a few bucks.
