i like the looks of that cluster, i hope it does fit, i would def do something like that.

your best bet is to buy or find a thunderbird cluster and pull yours out and see if the plugs are the same in the back. buy it and if it doesnt fit just relist it on ebay

yes - but be warned that you have to go to the dealer to 'match' the new cluster to the PATs / Car system. To be legal - the dealer has to transfer the mileage and they usually recode your FOBs, door keypad, ...etc. The issue is when you transfer the cluster it trips the tamper alert - the cluster will beep in reverse or when going of 70mph.

you have to remain within the same generation - 03+ use CAN, pre-03 use ODBII - so you cannot mix.

I have no idea what they would charge - or even if they know what and how to do it....

I have the equipment to do this as long as the plugs are the same. Im assuming they would be.

so we could send them to you you program them for are cars and send them back???

I did a simple search to find out how they look at night but I couldn't find anything.

I wanted to try to hunt down a reverse glow face plate or whatever they are but I don't like how it is all white and just flat.

This would be nice.

I tried another cluster in my 04 and the guages worked but the car would not start.
I asked the dealer about marrying the new cluster and they said no guarantees with used stuff.

However there is another way.
If you're brave and handy you can pop the needles off and swap out the faceplates then put the needles back.

I put an 02 metric face into an extra 04 cluster.
One of these days I'll put the 02 metric face plate on my original cluster so the car will start.

This way you have your old cluster with a different face plate so you don't have to marry anything.
I put the needles back in approximately the same place but when you first re hook the battery and put the key on the guages do a full sweep before returning to their idle position.
I'm pretty sure this will work and still have accurate readings on the guages.

correct, the programmer I have mates the PATS system in the cluster to the ECM to start the car.
