My throttle sticks every once and a while, usually at start up. Once i had to shut it off cuz it was reving up to 3,000 rpm. Any advice or similar problems. Also....cruise control. All jacked up! Cancel is set....Set is Resume...off is accelerate. Have to push on 2 or 3 times to get it to work. Seems to be getting worse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am not so sure about the throttle. Maybe someone else has had this problem. I would check to see if you can find where it is sticking. Is it the actual pedal sticking, like on the carpet or floor mat, or check where the cable comes up to the throttle body and check that all of those parts are moving freely.

As far as your steering wheel controls go, those problems are due to your clockspring going bad. It is the unit in the steering column that keeps all of the electrical connections(airbag and steering wheel controls) connected when turn your wheel. I had the same thing for a while and eventually my airbag light was on and none of my steering wheel controls worked. I don't know the actual cost of a new clockspring (I think about $120 from the dealership), but they are fairly easy to replace and there is a thread about it too.

Found it:http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=41249&highlight=clock+spring+replacement

Gen1 or Gen2? If it is a Gen1 it could be anywhere along the throttle cable. If it is a Gen2 your car is trying to kill you.

FALECF4 is right about the clockspring.

maybe she just wants to run, and she doesnt like you trying to hold her back:D
