Hi Guys, I just purchased a 1982 Continental Mark with the 5.0 liter. I don't know the history of the car but it will stall when I try to take off from a light about 90% of the time. Sometimes it will idle up and down as well. I started looking into the tps sensor and after disconnecting it I got a reading of 4 volts from the green and 9 volts from the brown wire which after looking in the shop manual seems within range. I also noticed that the leg of the choke was not connected to anything. After moving it around I was able to set the teeth on the throttle linkage and it would idle great but then released and ran somewhat rough again. I have checked the throttle body for leaks and seems ok. Does anyone have any ideas regarding my stalling issue? Any help would be great

First off you say choke leg then you say throttle body?? Throttle bodys do not have chokes. Carburetors have chokes. I do not know what your 82 has for fuel delivery. Could you find out for sure then we can help. Thanks
