Ok so, I took my car into the dealer after looking at what could have possibly given me this problem. The problem is when I start the car and put it into gear or reverse drive, either or, the car feels like its canning really bad. The car does not hesitate, miss fire, spit or sputter during acceleration. Off idle the car runs great; no power loss at all. The dealer (Lincoln/Mercury dealership) has had my car now for four days and can not figure out what is wrong. They are telling me that bank one is extremely rich, bank two is extremely lean, and they can not figure out why my car still misses, any ideas? They have checked the processor, coils, plugs, mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor and also have had it on the scope and still can not figure out whats wrong with it. Any information and all feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I am not technical enough to understand what "canning" is... Please extrapolate...

Yes what is "canning?". Also did they put the car on a gas anyalzier to check the ppm on the rich and lean?

I take it you mean "camming." Is it only when you first start your car in the morning or when its cold outside? Do you have an intake on your car? I live in the south so its not that cold very often but when I start my car in the mornings that its cold my car cams like it has a B cam in it. Does your check engine light come on?

yes I mean camming . Also it does not matter if the car is hot or cold does it all the time . Sometimes it does it worse then other times but it happens all the time.

A friend of mine had an issue with one bank being extremely rich, while the other was extremely lean. This was an issue with his injector harness having a crack, and it was arching off of the fuel rail. This wasn't on an 'LS, but it atleast gives another idea of what it 'could' be.
