i had to replace the bulb in my center brake light (they couldnt have made it simple and had the bulb coming up from the inside of the trunk into the light housing).

anybody have any advise on how to get the gasket between the lense and the housing back in place?

THOSE ARE ANOYING..trust me Ive been dicking around with mine for days!

I am about to just glue mine on the housing it fits to, just smack a dab on and let it dry then do another dab and so forth till its all the way on or it will flop around and not get a chance to glue in the right place you want it to.

Thats pretty much the problem I have, once it seems in place it comes off at some stupid corner and then just comes off all together right as you place it on the rear cover.

Dont screw around with that stupid gasket, go to an auto parts store and get some stick on weather seal. You'd be surprised how many things you can use that stuff for. Just cut it to fit around the lens and stick it on, then jam the housing back in place and it'll stay. Make sure you get the skinny kind thats only about 1/4" wide.
