Think i broke something

I was installing my slightly used pioneer cd player in my car yeasterday, which turns out that its broke, and my fuel needle went straight up and wont move. also at the same time my little in-dash computer thing turned off and makes no noise. what did i do?

I'd start by checking the fuses.

that would be my guess, somewhere you touched a wire that you shouldnt have, or it touched something metal in the back it shouldnt have, and most likely blew a fuse, or a few!

Fuse, it happend to me. Definatly a fuse, i beleive its a 10 and i replaced it with a 15
