Alight, it's on my buddys car. 2003 LS v8. Apprently in linc's wisdom they designed this thing with end "caps". Well, one of the caps fell off. It was only held on with gasket sealer. Lasting the 112k was amazing though, for being in a pressurized system. It also developed cracks so needed to be replaced anyway.

Basiclly, what I need to know is where to buy the part. I can figure out how to replace it just need to know where to get it.

Am I calling it the right name? I don have a picture, bu I'm almost sure that the screw on cap is part of the housing also.

The cap does not come with the housing if you order it from Ford.

I THINK it's 8592. I have to see a picture of a motor to be able to tell. I'm gonna ask my buddy to take a pic for me. I emailed Max already, but I'll wait to see the pic to be able to tell what part it really needs.

The experience here is that he may well need all of the nearby plastic parts and the degas coolant tank. If some of the plastic in the cooling system has cracked, then the rest probably has too, or will very soon.

in this view you asked about the 8548C, ( in my newer pic it is a "B") This pic is the best by far to get the correct one you need....thanks Joegr

The 8548C part is the same that has developed a leak on my car. Is that part plastic or metal. It looks like metal but it developed a leak right at a seam, seems a little odd for a metal casted part to crack like that. Then again i have 122k miles.

It's plastic. Mine cracked at about 112K miles.
