So I work at a used dealership as a mechanic. So we have this 2001 BMW 325i and it has an oil leak, I'm checking it out figure it's the rear main seal. That's besides the point after checking get it off the rack and check put a quart of synthetic in. Go to fire it up its smoking like a chimney I'm like shoot what I do? Well find out the PCV took a ****. And can you guess where the pcv is? Under the intake manifold!!!! At the BMW dealer quoted 4 hours to do. I did it in about 5.5 with the help of this link.

Question is why the hell would you up it under the manifold?

pretty sure the v6 LS has the PCV under the intake.

Yes it does. See black box in intake valley the nipple pointing back is PCV.

My mom's 2000 Mountaineer with the 5.0L V-8 has the PCV valve under the intake. It's a major PITA to get to. I dont' understand why they do stupid crap like that. It's like they've got special engineers who inspect the engine compartment to make sure there's always something in the way to make it as difficult as possible for the average person to work on anything under the hood.
