It fails me constantly.

When my old computer, Q8300 with 4gb ddr2 ram failed, the asus board, I sold it quickly and built my i5, 8gb ddr3, two 6950, and a msi board for ubber reliabilty. Nothing has gone wrong since i built it.

When my specialized SX trail ( mountain bike ) was out dated by 3 years and showing very minor frame fatigue at the welds, I sold it and built up my Giant glory FR, totem solo air and rocco TST-r at the back, ubber reliabilty. Been pounding on the bike and the only thing which has gone wrong is the grips need replacing.

When the clothes in my dresser become smelly and holly, I try to sell them, regardless i buy new ones.

NOW MY LS

When it pukes its coolant out, i keep it and fix the leak.
When the serp belt snaps on me, i keep it and fix it
When my hydro pump seizes, i keep it and fix it.
When my window wont go up, or down, and is stuck half open, i keep it in fix it.

Encountering many minute problems with other belongings of mine, means they get replaced.

WHY DO WE WAKE UP TO OUR LS's IN THE DRIVEWAY?? WHY DO WE KEEP THEM?

why why why

Q9550 build here, 3 years old and still running strong :D
'05 Kona Stinky, does the job but I barely have time to ride anymore.

From that description, I don't know why you keep your LS.

I keep both of mine because they have been very reliable and for the class of car that they are in, they have been fairly reasonable (cost wise) to maintain.
They are also very nice to drive and fun to drive.

For this year anyway, I've spent more keeping my son's Ranger going.

sorry to ask a question off topic, but M4rk...80% windshield tint? is that noticeble at all?
(I ask because i was originally gonna go with a 70)

my 40 is lol. only time its not is when its in direct light
and i still get people asking "is it tinted?" i jus say no

As for the pc I'm rocking a phenom quad core still.

And the reason we keep our LS's is because when they run right they are damn nice cars. Don't care what they say on the mark side. My fully loaded 06 will be paid off in less than a year and you get a lot of bang for your buck compared to other vehicles in the same price range.

Rides smooth as :q:q:q:q, is decently fast for its weight/size and doesn't cost a fortune to maintain.

the soul reason why i beleive i keep mine, is I'm not going to find anything else with a mild taste of luxury

coupled with a manual gear box, RWD and leather seats, and yes the amazing drive.

right now, my DCCV valve pisses coolant, the amount varryign based on temperature selected.

The reason is it is much less expensive to fix a car than buy a new one. The other items you mention are relatively inexpensive to replace.

I wish everyone would realize cars need maintenance and just deal with it. Parts wear out and need replacement. I still believe that most suspension problems are caused by overweight wheels.

I keep mine because I paid cash 5 yrs ago and has not had many problems till as of late, but fix every issue as soon as it breaks. Prevention is always cheaper;).

you guys are a bunch of nerds :shifty:
jk :) rocking a Phenon II x4 here with a 790fx and asus rog hardware... still not finished with it though lol...

As for the LS, its a love hate thing. When anything ever goes wrong with it I fix it, simply because I love it. All of my friends drool over it and I just couldn't see myself without it. I love how much attention it gets.

All that computer jargon makes no sense to me.

I keep my LS right now because it's paid off. Next car will be a gen 2 (2005 LSE hopefully) or an 02 M5.

...When the clothes in my dresser become smelly and holly, I try to sell them, regardless i buy new ones...

To keep the answer simple, there's a difference between a modern car and a pair of used Jockey shorts! :D

+1 If you plan on buying it than maintenance is necessary !

I keep my LS for many reasons. Despite the many terrible names I've called them when a light comes on. Or like you, the car decides to puke it's coolant through the milk jug or other random craptastic plastic part. The ride is nice, powers good, and the compliments when refueling are always nice!

WHY DO WE WAKE UP TO OUR LS's IN THE DRIVEWAY?? WHY DO WE KEEP THEM?

My reasons are simple:
- I'm a Ford fanboy, won't deny it
- Lincoln doesn't currently have crap that is V8 RWD performance, regardless of price
- I didn't want a Mustang, like the other 5-million people who have one
- The price of a Ford GT, and BMW 550i GT were outside my finance range ($50K)
- The '11 Taurus SHO I drove felt too much like an AWD Subaru rally car instead of a road car

The LS really does fit the bill nicely for me. It has the feel, the look, and as an added bonus the value I like. Just needs some boost or engine swap and an 8.8" conversion out back to really put it over the edge.

Plus, parts are cheap enough that I can tinker when I want, and it's common enough that I can just drop it off at any ford dealer when I don't want to. Try saying that about other luxury sport sedans! :)

as they say

it's cheaper to keep her! Where else can you get so much for so little? Once it's all fixed, it runs great!

I keep it because no one will buy it. Had it for sale a couple of times, almost
had it sold but guy did not go through with it. Only way to get rid of it is give it away or junk it, I am not doing either so it stays. Oh, I could trade it in for dirt and have massive payments on a new car too, but that is not gonna happen yet either.

I actually cant complain about my car, been damn reliable, pretty much in the almost 5 years I have it did 1 alternator, 2 window regulators, sway bar links twice and regular maintenance. At 94,000 miles now and still original coils. At this mileage I am expecting something big, chain tensioners, Transmission to be coming up soon. Hopefully not or I get ride of it before that happens.

170,000 miles (mostly highway) and still looks clean inside and out. Runs great, pulls hard, and almost nothing major has went out on it. Thats why ive kept mine.

I almost sold mine to buy a new z28 (im a HUGE chevy fan) but i love this ls too much. when the kid said he didnt wanna spend money on 91 octane and would just run 87... i couldnt help but back down. I chose it over a z28, and I couldnt get rid of it for another, especially not to someone who wont care for it.

Why do we keep it? Because the LS is like the hot, but problematic, ex girlfriend we cannot stop having sex with. No matter how bad of a problem she can be at times, we like how she makes us feel when are in her and people consistently tell us how good she looks. ;)

Now excuse me for awhile I go text my hot ex girlfriend and ask for some p***y. Lmao!!!
