The Mark Shudders/ Hesitates at partial throttle

Just buying the car a couple weeks ago, I have been observing different things. I hate the way the trans shifts, and when I am at partial throttle below 40/45 it hesitates and shudders with about 1/4 throttle, if I mash the gas to 1/2 or more, it goes away. I have a set of plugs and wires on the way. Is this a common thing?

Sounds like trans. Changing the fluid, and filter, has solved this problem a few times for me. Use Mercon 5. Could be plugs or wires. It studders when it goes into OD at slow speed.

a tune up wont hurt it'll actually improve the drivability of the car.

On my 97 I had a studder, and it turned out to be 1 COP bad, and not the trans.

yup same thing happened to me it ended being the coils...changed them all out and now she drives as good as new.
