The LS - what's been done, what's next

Decided to start a feed like many of the other members here to update on the progress I've made on the car. I've only been a member for two months and already I've done a lot :)

So far what I've done (in the last two months):

1. K&N Intake
2. Exhaust 2.5" Piping, Basani's, etc.
3. Visteon Coils, Motorcraft Plugs.
4. 3M the Headlights.

What I'm thinking of doing next (in no particular order) :

1. SCT Tune from Torrie.
2. Re-wire, possibly build or buy the custom LS box for my two 12"s, even though I don't use my trunk It'd be nice to have back. Plus the wiring done to the subs was sub-par by the previous owner.
3. New Wheels.
4. Lloyd Carpets throughout.
5. Touch up the bumper, I have a couple of bad scratches on the rear bumper, front is fine.

I can't think of anything else right now. I wanted to do the angel-eyes to the headlights but found out the other day I have OEM HID's so I won't be touching them. If anyone has any suggestions, thoughts, alterations, please let me know. I'm trying not to dump too much money into the car, but once I got started I'm addicted to modifying it. My Goodyear Eagle F1's still have about 50% tread on them as I bought them about 35k miles ago, so if I were to buy wheels, I would probably get some with tires on them and just keep the stock ones as winter wheels. I do want to change the grille but it seems impossible to locate a McLaren.
 
I've done the same thing in the past few months besides the exhaust and I'll probably never do it, just add big ol' tips to fill out the cutouts.

There's nothing wrong with cutting them open for the angel eyes, just take as long as you possibly can doing it and follow fellow member Alax7's youtube vid. I also did the same thing with my wheels, got some Sentas, saved the old ones for the winter.

It's a good list you got there. Have any pics of the ol' gal?
 
I have the original pic I posted... I suck at taking pics though and only have my iphone, dont even own a digital camera. I'll try to get a pic of each of the things I just referenced.

AHHHHH come on dont you know we all love pics?? No more mods until you get a new camera ;)

Sounds like your off to a good start though.

Alright, I'm getting old and loosing it.

ofcourse I knew there was a 3M headlight restoration kit available.

why I couldn't figure that out is behond me at this point.

Perhaps I shouldn't have had that 26oz of Captain this weekend.

I did not know you had a pearl white as well LOL looks just like mine did. Also please remove those things ASAP or ima go over there and rip them off myself, you know i'm only minutes away :D

And i will have a mclaren for sale soon...

Every pic/video I take ends up looking or sounding like ****. It's because I'm using my iPhone. Eventually I'll get a camera. Trust me I'm going to rip them off eventually, I've just been spending my time upgrading the performance, not too worried about the visual. I'm gonna eventually re-tint the car dark as hell when my inspection is up in March. Car is not pearl white it's cream. See that's how bad that pic is, you can't even tell what color it is :) When you have the mclaren for sale let me know, I'll come pick it up.

I may go buy some and just to strategically place them just to take pics wherever I go. Hell, I may take a pic of them on the car while at McDonald's and then take a pic of them at the table having lunch with me.....and then another back in the car but in a different location. Too bad for road dust and my PCs over paint otherwise I would just for sh**z and giggles.

You may not be aware, but they reduce wind resistance due to better aerodynamics, therefore increasing your horsepower.
 
Then I need a dozen of them. Or, we could take the ones you have, mail them around to each other and each take one pic of them on our car. Again, just for fun. It would be interesting to see how many miles they could log in the mail.

You guys crack me up. Makes me want to go put some on my boss's Grand Cherokee and see if she notices....or maybe my buddies motorcycle, or boat. Maybe a Police car. You have come up with the ultimate prank.
