Question: did the strut towers have to be modified to fit the wider Lightning engine in there? Or is it not really that much wider if at all?

Also, have you got that thing on any scales to see how much weight was added and what the new F/R balance comes out to?

Lastly, what kind of transmission in that?

holy crap !!... let me know when the " lightning conversion kit" becomes available from LMS ... haha

LMAO Id sell 2-3 over the next ten years.

This is a good customer of ours.
He came to me with the car already done and running a few Month's back, he bought an exhaust from us that you see in the photos and Cstar Emblems.

He did an amaizing job with this car and congrats for being the "Worlds First" and more or likely only (for now) 5.4 Lightning powered Mark VIII.

yup... and that would be out of 35 that say " i definitely want one and will send money right away "

has anyone ever jammed a 427 into our cars ??.. if thats even possible

cool idea but i think it looks hideous, the motor is wayyyyyyyyyyy to high, what he should have done is cut off the front sub frame and made a tubular one and lowered the motor. i'm sure it will be fun to drive, but it looks stupid, and no hood in the world is going to look good on it, unless you dont mind a dog house on your hood!

You've got to be kidding me...that looks awful, especially that pieced together intake tube. Not to mention you'd need about a 10" cowl hood to hide it all. I bet it runs like a bat out of hell, but I think I'd rather have an 03 cobra engine with a kenne bell.

My thoughts as well.

5.4 SOHC has been done in the fn10/mn12 platform for ages now. We all know it fits.
I guess it was really fun before the 03-04 cobra, and the 5.0 stroked/bored DOHC became available.

5.4 DOHC ... now that's a different story.

That thing is in fact hideous though, gotta agree with Driller here ... only one ... for a good reason. ;)

There is nearly 1000lb difference between a CobaII and a MarkVIII.

That CobraII had to be cut up pretty bad to get that in there, I'm pretty familiar with the car.
