So we had a nice snow storm start Tuesday night while i was in class. We were checking the weather the whole class, 2 1/2 hours into class there might have been 1/4 inch on the parking lot then wham!!! the last 30 mins of class we had almost 2 inches.

I have a 30 mile drive down I-65 to where i live, I was going down the only hill/mountain on the drive home when the car in front of me kept hitting her brakes causing me to downshift into 2nd gear. Then it happened, the back end kicked out and i slid across 3 lanes into the Wire barrier head on, at the last min i said the hell with it and poped the clutch and managed to straighten it out and do alot less damage........I lost my bumper, drivers fender and did alot of scratching on the quarter panel (right under the hatch it scratched not frost) and put 4 new dents on the quarter panel.

When the storm was over we had almost 8 inches of snow.......my college has been shut down since the storm.

Damn, that sucks! Got full coverage? I took my Mark to class Tuesday night & the temp dropped about ten degrees as it got dark. There was black ice all over the place & it started snowing pretty good. I was nervous as $h!t about the drive home too. luckily it missed us for the most part. I usually steal my wife's FWD car when it gets like this but the quick change of weather almost F'd me up.

Yeah i have full coverage on it but with the 500.00 deductable and what my rates would go up by for the next 3 years its just not worth it to turn it in. On top of that im trading it off in a few more weeks for my old 95 Mustang my buddy dont care about the damage, he just wants a drivable car. I can get the bumper cover and fender for 350.00 shipped, but he said he'll take care of it.

If he didnt i was going to give it to my nephew as his first car, ive been planning on getting rid of it for a couple of months now. Im going to go ahead and man up saying I fu*ked up here, ive lived in Michigan for 18 years so driving in snow isnt new to me and i should have known better to try and down shift going down hill in the snow....oh well my fault!!! lol
