I went with ebay coils and cars been running great ever since, I personally believe coil failure comes down to the mechanics handy work, people post about taking it to the dealer and having failed coils, while others do ebay coils and have no problems at all.

I went with global automotive coils, and denso iridium plugs, and got the gaskets from max for about 50$ it's a v6 but the acceleration did smooth out, however my step dad over tightened the temperature sending unit and broke it, now my fan goes crazy, and my air conditioning won't go cold at all, was wondering if those share a relation?

so my question is, if I put in a new temp sending unit will this fix my fan problem and air condition problem?

the code it threw me was

P1289 Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor Signal Greater Than Self-Test Range

temp unit which I found for 25$ on rock auto :D

I search it and found nothing so thought I'd start a discussion about it.

Yes, it should. The AC compressor is disabled if the engine is over-temp.

What did you have to pay for the coil package, and per plug? Im going to be doing this in a few weeks unfortnatly. Was there oil leaking in the plug wells or you just did it b/c?

actually 2 coils plugs were covered in oil, but i was going to change the gaskets anyway.

the densos i got for about 60$
the coil set i got for 105$
and the gaskets i got for 50$
