temp problem

i was wondering why my temp gauge will be at half which i think is normal, then sometimes it would be a tiny hair above half sometime like it wants to overheat but it doesnt go pass the little hair over the middle. does anyone know why it keeps changing?

Because the fan kicks on and lowers it back to the half way mark...?

fwiw my temp gauge works perfect, at least to the best of my knowledge it does. when i start from cold start temp is sunk but gradually makes its way up to half way. never have i once seen the temp gauge above half way. anyways i could agree with nyc lsc

As long as it doesnt reach the red zone, dont worry about it. It will fluctuate more in the summer because the radiator cant dissipate the heat as easily when its hot outside. The heat will build up, then the fan cut on and it will drop back down, over and over again.

Maybe the thermostat is starting to stick closed, might be a sign of things to come.
