Does Tasca order from the manufacturer after an order is placed through or do they keep an inventory on hand? I see they have a few items listed for sale which are discontinued through the manufacturer. I am a bit leery of ordering through them over an error on their site. I plan to call them Monday.

Both are true. All major Ford dealers and especially ones that do a large wholesale parts business like Tasca carry many parts in stock. There are also Ford High Velocity Centers (HVC) scattered across the US to get many of the most common parts to dealers in 24 hours or less. Less common parts that come from Michigan take longer.
Update. May want to double check availability before ordering certain things fro Tasca. I called them just now and there was an inaccuracy on what their site shows as available vs what Ford has discontinued.

probably what i should have done. Just got an email today that my order was shipped. EXACTLY 2 weeks later.

I've been dealing with Tasca for a while. I always call before I order a part to make sure they have it in stock.

Yes i got them. Took 2 weeks to ship, but 2 days to get to me.

I waited up to 4 weeks for parts out of Tasca. I just placed an order and hope it doesn't take that long again. I think at the prices they are selling for they bundle orders to reduce there overhead costs, but that is just speculation on my part. When I had my test facility I could get out of stock parts from the local dealer overnight if needed, or usually on a Tuesday or Thursday after our orders were placed in normal mode.
