taillight removal

i searched a hundred threads, all just saay ''i keep getting moisture in my taillights'' can someone tell me how to remove the outside taillights, the ones on the corners...not the ones on the trunk lid. i'm pretty sure its about 3 or 4 bolts cuz i was just looking but i'm not sure.

right - pull back the trunk liner, there are 3 nuts to remove (through the holes in the inner metal liner). Use a deep 11mm socket.

They corner tail lights are held on by three nuts. To access them you will have to pull back the trunk liner to see them. Just remove the nuts and the tail light slides straight out.

ok, i already have the trunk carpet pulled back, thanks for clearing this up for me... on a 2000 ls on the PS brake/turnsignal/parking light there is only one nut with a hole in the inner metal lining.

how about removing the lens from the bulb housing. the reflection inside the taillight is coming off....i've read it could be a crack in the lens, also can this crack be seen from the outside of the lights. what else could be letting water in there? maybe a bad seal around the bulbs or something. my friends criticize that taillight moisture evertime. check out these pics too it seems somethings causing it to burn where the bulb plugs into the harness. only this harness looks burnt the others look fine ALL MY LIGHTS WORK PROPERLY.

Welcome to the club. I spent close to 50 bucks on bulbs, Yes I know very stupid of me, but at the time it seemed the best thing to due, instead of getting pulled over. Anywho, as far as stopping the water getting in, heres what I did, take the light out and turn it over, get some black silicone, on the back theres a bunch of valleys and crevices, Put a good bead of silicon in there. Then put it around the rubber edge of the light. I did this and no more water in the light. Try this and see if this helps. Also you can hold the light under water (red side down) and see if any water gets in.
