taillight question

in the wonderful state of VA (sike) they apparently wont let a car pass the annual state inspection with tinted taillights. i recently got mine tinted (jonstintedtail.com.....great spot) light-medium. well, i havent been able to find an inspection station that will pass them even though you can still see red on the lense. anyone know where i can get some taillight assemblies (2002 LS8) for cheaper than the $350 at the stealership? i tried ebay but havent found anything. thanks a lot

I just checked www.car-part.com, which some member here posted on another thread and found a complete set in my area for around $190.
Check to see if a local yard has some, definitely cheaper than dealership and even ebay.

i dont plan on getting rid of mine....i just wanna swap them out with OEM type for the inspection. after i pass, the tinted ones are going back on. havent had any issues with the police or anyone for that matter until now so i dont see the point in getting rid of them.
